Australia Day is one national day with many audiences because Australia is a diverse nation. Organisers have worked closely with stakeholders in recent years to develop programming that reflects the Indigenous, European and multicultural heritage. In 2018, Sydney’s celebration took on technical challenges to create a new centrepiece that showcased this diversity to a local audience and through national broadcast.
