Christine Lafontant is a Region Manager for the County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation. She is responsible for managing park facilities including Waterfront Park, one of the county’s most significant outdoor event venues, and coordinating major special events such as community festivals and a countywide movies in the park series. Ms. Lafontant holds a Bachelor’s degree from Boston College and has over 15 years of experience in the field of recreation and event management. Ms. Lafontant is a Certified Festival and Events Associate (CFEA) through the International Festivals & Events Association and National Recreation and Parks Association.  Ms. Lafontant has presented workshops on a range of topics to groups including the California Parks and Recreation Society Annual Conference, CPRS District XII Trainings, and the National Recreation and Parks Association Health and Livability Summit.
