Erin Atkinson currently serves as the Deputy Director for the City and County of Denver’s Office of Special Events (OSE). The OSE is a coordinating agency that walks event organizers and film producers through the City’s permitting process. Erin received her Bachelor’s Degree in journalism with a minor in public relations from Michigan State University. She went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Public History from the University of Detroit Mercy where she started her event planning career working for the University’s School of Law while attending graduate school. Erin spent 4 years as the Events and Marketing Coordinator for Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum in Southern Maryland, before moving to beautiful Colorado to take a position with the Town of Parker as the Special Events and Sponsorship Coordinator. Erin has been working with events for the City and County of Denver for just over three years and is grateful every day to be working for her favorite city in the country. When not working, you can find Erin enjoying all things outdoors with her dog Fred and boyfriend Andrew.
