John R. Melleky, CFRE, CFEE is a Principal of FIG Solutions, a consulting firm that assists organizations in “Filling in Gaps” as needed.  The firm assists in all aspects of organizational management, including board relations and  strategic planning, fundraising and sponsorships, marketing and public relations, and event and festival management, including merchandising, volunteers, and membership.   Prior to FIG Solutions, Melleky recently served as the Chief Executive Officer for the Fiesta San Antonio Commission.  The Commission manages Fiesta San Antonio, one of the nation's largest festivals for 3.6 million people with over 100 events in 11 days.  While there, the organization increased its overall income by $500,000 a year that included a 70% increase in sponsorships and building the charitable side of the organization and increasing funding by eight times.   He also served as the first Executive Director of the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists Foundation and raised $6.3 million in 3 years, surpassing a goal to raise $2.5 million in five years.  Melleky is a Certified Fund Raising Executive and a Certified Festivals and Events Executive.
